Intro to Top Rope Class- $30 Youth (13 and under)/ $35 Adult (14 and over)/ Free for Current Members

Topics Covered:
-How to put on and properly secure a harness
-How to tie a figure 8 follow through knot
-How to preform pre-climb safety checks
-How to take in rope while your partner climbs using a Gri-Gri belay device
-How to lower your climber back to the ground once they have finished a climb

Requirements:
-This class is mandatory for all first time visitors to Hangar 18 who wish to use top ropes
-Belayers (person managing the rope on the ground) must be at least 14 years of age or older
-Online reservation is required to participate in class (walks-in may book via our online kiosk if spaces are available)
-Waiver is required for both climbers and belayers. Any participant under the age of 18 must have waiver completed by parent or legal gaurdian

-45 min instruction on Top Rope belaying
